This was challenging at first, but still able to move along by gaining gold with ads. It is slow going, but if you don't want to spend real money it was a nice option. For a week the ads won't come up. It's stuck on saying no ads available at this time. Because of this, and the amount of gold needed to get upgrades, I have been stalled out unless I purchase gold. The game does crash at times, but was still fun to play. With the slow crawl w/o ads I'll be uninstalling.
Now I remember why I stopped playing this game.... It's a great game really; super fun and very addictive. But there is way too many game crashes and loading issues. Also the free videos only work once even though it says "check back later for more free videos". Also the in-game currency (gold bars) are much too hard to earn and you need them for ALL upgrades. It's an A+ when you can actually play though when the app loads properly.
I've played this game off and on for years. One of my favorite mobile games. The only reason I will not give it 5 stars is because the game will randomly crash. When it crashes you will lose your progress and any resources you have used during the crash. Edited on 2/5/22 I'm changing my 4 star review to a 1 star review. The game is literally unplayable now. It won't load any longer. I deleted it and reinstalled it and it worked for 1 day. But it is no longer working again.
The game is really fun! But it's so aggravating because it will crash right as I start a level sometimes and it will close me out of the game. So when I get back on, it not only doesn't load that part and start me in my level, but it conveniently loads so that my groceries are gone (each level costs 10 and you only get 50 until more load) so you can only play 5 lvls until you wait or buy more with hearts or money. And it just happened to me twice in a row! So 20 groceries gone! So frustrating
Id give this game 5 stars except it crashes often. I play it everyday regardless. Challenging levels, interesting dishes, different cultures explored through food. The duel system is imperfect but fun. Play at your own risk as it can glitch out often and you lose your supplies. But its still worth it to me. Been playing over a year now.
